I interviewed for the Software Engineer role at Andela with an easy-to-manage start, where the steps were straightforward before eventually entering a talent pool.

English test — a basic proficiency check.
Coding test — a coding assessment aligned to the stack I felt comfortable with.
Oral interview with a lead engineer — a conversational technical discussion with the lead engineer.
Talent pool step — after succeeding, I would be placed into a pool. Outcome: I didn’t report an offer, but the takeaway was that the first rounds were accessible and designed to gauge baseline readiness.
