I met first with the hiring manager, and the questions focused on my Java background along with the details of my prior experience.

That part felt pretty straightforward, and I was able to keep my answers grounded in what I’d actually done before. After that, I met with developers from the team I would join, and the format stayed similar: they asked about my background and followed up with technical questions.

At the end of each conversation, I made sure to ask questions back, and I felt like the dynamic was normal and respectful. It didn’t turn into an offer for me, but the process itself felt organized and coherent, with a clear progression from manager-level fit to team-level technical discussion.
