Austin, TXPosted Aug 2023 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed with a strong emphasis on fit and explaining my prior data-related experience, and the process felt relatively easy because there were no formal case or coding components.

Single interview / early screen — I was asked standard background and behavioral questions, with requests to explain specific data work from my past experience.
Fit-focused second step (varied by path) — When there was a next stage, it leaned heavily toward personality/fit and discussion of how my experience aligned with the team and next steps. Outcome: No offer; the takeaway was that you still have to go deep on how you used data, even when the interview feels “basic.”
