I went through a later-start, higher-effort hiring process for the Business Analyst role where outreach took much longer than average.

Online application — I applied and waited close to two months to hear anything back.
Phone interview — A conversation focused heavily on my research and analytical background.
In-person interviews — I was invited in quickly afterward and interviewed with multiple people at the office; there were no traditional case interviews.
Offer outcome — After the onsite, I heard back about a week later and accepted.

Outcome: I received and accepted an offer; the takeaway was that persistence and being ready to go deep on research experience mattered more than case prep.
