Boston, MAPosted Oct 2021 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My Ameriprise Financial Analyst process started professional and structured, but the later stages were where the difficulty ramped up and I ultimately didn’t progress.

HR screen — A first HR round to cover fit and expectations.
Technical round — A technical discussion that required more finance knowledge than the initial screen.
Manager round / follow-up — Either a separate manager day or a later interviewer check-in; in my case, I wasn’t continued as a candidate after this stage. Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer, and the takeaway was that early conversation didn’t fully predict how demanding the later rounds would be.
