Ameriprise Financial Analyst interview experience

My interview experience felt difficult largely because it included a lot of personality testing questions, along with a long, drawn-out conversation.

The interviewer seemed to be paying attention not just to my background, but to whether I sounded like someone who would make a long-term commitment to the company.

I tried to be very straightforward throughout. A big theme in my mind was that honesty mattered in how they wanted me to present myself and think about the role. Even so, the process didn’t end with an offer. The most lasting takeaway for me was that the “fit” component—especially in the personality testing and what they were looking for long term—was as influential as anything I said about finance.
