American Express Software Engineer interview experience

Medium

Positive

IndiaPosted May 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went through an on-campus-style flow that started with a group discussion, then moved into a technical round and finished with an HR round.

The overall difficulty landed around medium, and it matched what I expected: questions drawn from my resume plus a mix of fundamentals and DSA.

In the technical part, I had to show more than surface-level knowledge. The questions were connected to the skills I listed, so it felt like they were validating my background rather than throwing unrelated topics at me.

I didn’t get selected in the end, but the experience felt positive overall—just not enough to move forward past the final decision.
