I had a pretty pure technical interview that felt like a test of my coding and fundamentals rather than a conversational discussion.

For about an hour, I got mostly technical questions with not a lot of getting-to-know-you type prompts. It felt like questions were fired quickly, one after another.

The entire session was Java-focused for the position I was interviewing for. By the end, I didn’t feel like I’d had much opportunity to steer the conversation or explore anything too deeply beyond what they asked.

I didn’t receive an offer. Honestly, that pace and “straight-to-business” format made it feel a bit stressful, even though I could tell exactly what they wanted to measure.
