San Marcos, TXPosted May 2023 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for an Account Executive role through group-based retailer interviews, and the main challenge was the format itself—sometimes with little notice—rather than hard technical questions.

Group interview — I sat with multiple interviewees and answered the “usual” interview questions; in one case, I was also asked a fun, influencer/model-style prompt.
Selection-style flow — At least once, the process involved candidates stepping out of the room and re-entering if chosen.
Follow-up manager conversation — Some paths included a one-on-one with a store manager after the group session. Outcome: I either got hired quickly or moved along, and the takeaway was that preparation helped me stand out even when the environment was stressful or poorly communicated.
