My interview felt like it was anchored around real engineering work and the tools people use day to day.

I started by getting questioned on my project experience, and then the technical part moved into concrete programming problems and how I handled them. The discussion also touched on Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, plus API work and PostgreSQL.

What made it more stressful than the topics might suggest was the vibe and attention during the session. I remember being asked some unusual questions and even feeling like the interviewer wasn’t really looking at my resume, despite having it in front of them. That disconnect made it harder to know which direction they wanted me to lean into.
