Amazon Software Engineer interview experience

The process felt straightforward in structure: if I was successful, I’d get booked for another similar assessment. But I wasn’t able to finish the problem in time, and because I didn’t complete it, I didn’t progress any further.

The whole experience was short and decisive. I remember focusing on getting to a solution, but once it became clear I couldn’t bring it to completion, everything effectively ended right there. I didn’t get an offer, and my main takeaway was how little room there was for partial progress when the bar was “complete the exercise,” not “show partial understanding.”
