My Amazon loop started with an online assessment, and it immediately looked less like a couple quick questions and more like something meant to test how I read and interpreted instructions.

The assessment included one easy LeetCode question and one medium, and it felt especially lengthy to parse. It also included a work-style/day-to-day simulation that tested leadership-principles knowledge, which was a different kind of problem than typical coding.

After that, the technical interview narrowed into data structures and trees. I had a tree-related DSA question and then follow-up questions about trees and heaps, plus leadership-principles questions. The interview felt fairly balanced between technical reasoning and behavioral evaluation.
