Amazon Software Engineer interview experience

The first coding interview involved two medium story-based DSA problems: one tied to binomial coefficients where the DP approach mattered to avoid timeouts, and another using heaps. The second round tightened the timing a lot, and the interviewer was very strict: instead of starting from a naive solution and optimizing gradually, I had to propose the optimized approach right away.

Across the rounds, they kept the focus on DSA and problem-solving under constraints. One of my sessions began with a short conversation that centered on Amazon leadership principles, then moved into a medium-style
