Amazon Software Engineer interview experience

The categories were distinct—coding, system design, low-level coding, and then a behavioral/events round that was still fairly technical in how it was framed.

In the behavioral portion, I answered two behavioral questions based on leadership principles, and I remember being told I could ask the recruiter which principles to focus on. Even though the topics were behavioral, the whole process still felt anchored to the idea that my examples needed to map directly to those leadership behaviors.
