Amazon Software Engineer interview experience

Once I was shortlisted, it automatically scheduled two rounds of interviews. What surprised me was that both rounds mixed technical and HR together, rather than separating them cleanly.

Across those two rounds, the focus leaned on DSA and on Amazon’s leadership expectations. I wasn’t asked to recite the principles verbatim, but the questions were clearly framed to probe whether my thinking aligned with them. I ended up solving two medium-level DSA questions, and the overall feel was pretty standard—more about correct problem-solving than anything overly tricky.
