Amazon Software Engineer interview experience

I got pulled into a very specific question around designing an LRU cache—how to combine a hashmap with a doubly linked list and still keep eviction correct. The interviewer was very direct and kept probing my approach, especially around eviction behavior and the reasoning behind it.
