After a recruiter screen, I was quickly pulled into a loop-style series of interviews that consisted of multiple rounds: a LeetCode coding question, one low-level-design style discussion, and a bar-raiser focused on Amazon leadership evaluation.

The whole thing felt fast in terms of structure but brutal in how tightly it tied success to alignment with leadership principles.

Technically, the coding part was straightforward enough to attempt, but the experience overall was dominated by the bar-raiser and the leadership mapping. I kept feeling like I’d need to “package” my past experiences into polished, leadership-principle-ready narratives, and that made the process feel oddly transactional rather than truly reflective of how I work.
