My early steps followed a pretty recognizable consulting-company pattern.

I first talked to recruitment over the phone, and then I moved into more structured interviews where the role and expectations were explained. In my case, there was a technical round that covered basics like web development concepts—HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React—before moving further.

When the process got closer to the role itself, there was a lot of emphasis on fit and alignment. They asked behavioral-style questions like why I wanted to join, how I thought about career growth, and how my past experience mapped to what they needed.
