Alteryx Software Engineer interview experience

After that, I was asked to complete a coding test.

The next part was a presentation: I had to talk about an interesting project and present it to a panel of software engineers. It felt less like a scripted interview and more like they wanted to see how I explained tradeoffs and structure my story for engineers who would likely challenge details.

I didn’t get an offer, and overall the experience stayed at an average difficulty level. What stood out most was how much weight was placed on communicating clearly during the project presentation, not just solving problems.
