Allstate Software Engineer interview experience

The whole call was focused on how I worked through tasks and how my past mapped to the role.

After that, when I passed the initial screen, I was invited to fly out to their headquarters outside of Chicago. Travel was provided, and it felt like the process was moving beyond just conversation into something more formal.

I didn’t ultimately get an offer, but I appreciated how the sequence was clearly gated—coding and behavior first with a manager, then an in-person step if it went well. The strongest impression was how quickly it moved from discussion to an actual travel-based interview stage.
