The district manager met with me and the interview centered on basic managerial questions.

The timing was unusual because the offer came right away—before the holiday, I was extended the position on the spot. They asked me to start training immediately, which made the whole thing feel decisive.

Training ended up being less impressive than the interview. My training was led by the store manager, and it felt awful and not thorough at all. They mentioned they had been a manager elsewhere, but the guidance and the way things were explained didn’t come through clearly. Even though the offer part was quick, that early training experience was disappointing.
