Alcatel-Lucent Motive Software Engineer interview experience

No offer

Easy

Negative

BengaluruPosted Dec 2016 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I got a face-to-face interview invite, but the experience didn’t feel like it got off the ground.

The interviewer seemed disinterested from the start, and the whole session felt rushed and unwelcoming.

I was asked only a handful of basic Java questions, then the interviewer effectively dismissed me for the day. What bothered me most was the lack of basic professionalism—there wasn’t much context, and even the interviewer didn’t introduce herself.

It left me with a very negative impression and I didn’t receive an offer. Looking back, the interview felt less like a genuine evaluation and more like a placeholder that didn’t reflect the job’s technical expectations.
