Alcatel-Lucent Motive Software Engineer interview experience

Got offer

MediumIndiaPosted Jan 2015 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

The process for me was fast and structured.

It took about a day total: first a written test made up of multiple-choice questions across OS, C, C++, Java, networking, and aptitude. After that, I had a technical round centered on Java, data structures, and SQL queries, with some basic OS questions included too.

Everything felt smooth—no awkward delays, and the format was clear. The technical portion matched what the earlier test was pointing toward, so I wasn’t guessing what would matter. I ultimately got an offer, and the overall experience felt straightforward compared to more chaotic interview loops.
