Alcatel-Lucent Motive Software Engineer interview experience

Got offer

NigeriaPosted Nov 2014 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I found the opportunity through a newspaper ad, and the process followed quickly into a one-on-one detailed interview with a department manager and HR.

The steps felt practical and straightforward until the very end.

After the interviews, HR provided the offer, but the timing made it feel rushed—they requested an immediate signature with little opportunity to review the package. What I learned about the role itself also came through in what they described after the offer: an open-plan office environment, plus some mention of travel in the first twelve months and factory-related assignments.

I accepted the offer, but the lack of time to thoroughly review the terms left a slightly odd feeling despite the overall progression being smooth.
