My first round was a phone interview that felt pretty light and quick—about fifteen minutes.

The questions focused mainly on JavaScript, but they weren’t just straight trivia; they were framed like entertaining mind teasers. I had to explain object prototyping in JavaScript, and I also got asked how to share a property across two instances that come from the same super.

The overall vibe was engaging and conversational, and it didn’t drag. The content was fairly specific to how JavaScript objects behave, especially around prototypal inheritance, and I left feeling like I understood what they were looking for.
