After I applied, I wasn’t contacted directly by Plated, but within a week I received a Lytmus take-home coding challenge.

I put effort into it and felt like my submission was pretty strong. The confusing part was that nothing followed—I never got a call or email after completing it.

What threw me off most was how abruptly I was sent the take-home without any real context or earlier communication. It felt like I went from application straight to a challenge, and then the process just stopped after I turned it in.

I never heard back from them, so I didn’t end up getting an offer. Looking back, the hardest part wasn’t the work itself—it was the silence after I completed it.
