New York, NYPosted Aug 2022 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I was asked to contribute through an interview question design style process, and the prompt emphasized how to craft an interview question.

It covered ideas like making the question open-ended, layering complexity, drawing from real experience, and using a realistic coding environment.

The notes around the evaluation were the biggest part of my experience; it wasn’t a typical “solve this algorithm” flow so much as demonstrating how I’d build the interview itself.

I didn’t get an offer. Honestly, the meta nature of the prompt made the round feel unusually indirect compared to a standard SWE interview.
