Aker Solutions Software Engineer interview experience

No offer

The application process started with an online application on their website.

I was invited to an interview about two weeks later, and they had a prepared list of questions they would ask.

The interview itself had a chatting style, which felt like they were trying to learn about my personality as well as my academics. It wasn’t presented as a rigorous test so much as a guided conversation using predetermined questions.

I didn’t receive an offer. My reflection was that the format was low-traction compared to technical screens, but that also meant the interview felt very dependent on the impression I left during conversation.
