San Francisco, CAPosted Apr 2026 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

A recruiter reached out and arranged a remote interview for the role.

During the session, I worked through bugs and managed to fix some issues, but I still didn’t qualify to move to the second round.

The experience was pretty direct: no extended multi-round story, just a single interview where I had to show enough to progress. I felt like I could contribute in the moment, but ultimately it wasn’t enough.

I left feeling that the technical gap was probably sharper than I had hoped. Even with the bug-fixing progress I made during the interview, I wasn’t able to get over whatever bar they were using to advance to the next stage.
