Airbnb Software Engineer interview experience

I submitted my application, and the very next day I received a coding assessment. I didn’t speak to anyone at all, and everything stayed online.

After that, I just waited to hear results. The experience was quiet and a bit opaque—no interviewer, no scheduling steps, and no real visibility into where I stood beyond the assessment itself.

I never felt like I got a real conversation out of it, and that absence of human context made the waiting period feel longer than it probably would have otherwise. I didn’t end up with a positive result.
