The recruiter outreach happened after I applied online, and right away it felt off.

The recruiter seemed completely confused about what level I was being considered for, even though I’d discussed over the phone that I was eligible for a lower level.

Despite that conversation, they considered me for an L6 role when the fit didn’t really match the level we’d already established. It wasn’t that the interviews were complicated; it was that the process felt mismatched from the start because the recruiter didn’t track the basics.

Because of that confusion, I never felt confident the evaluation was even aimed at the right target.
