I had a manager interview where they asked me questions and the discussion felt fairly smooth.

The session ran longer than I expected—over 30 minutes—and it stayed focused on how I would approach the role.

English ability was something they cared about noticeably. Even with my answers going well, that emphasis made the outcome feel more dependent on communication than I initially assumed.

I did receive an offer, so the process landed in my favor, but the experience made it clear they were actively evaluating clarity as part of the fit.
