I’ll group the virtual on-site experience with the other instances of delayed communication, because the core story was the same for me: the technical rounds were demanding, and then the follow-up went nowhere.

After applying through a recruiter, I completed a first technical interview on CoderPad and then moved into a virtual on-site that lasted about three and a half hours.

The on-site included an additional technical interview that felt like rapid pop-quizzing—roughly forty questions across stats, machine learning, Python, and product topics. It went over the allotted time so thoroughly that there wasn’t any real opportunity to discuss my thinking or ask questions. I walked away realizing I hadn’t learned much about the role or the team, while I picked up plenty of red flags about how the work
