I had a really rough start with ADP for the account executive role.

The recruiter interview was over the phone with someone working from home, and I could literally hear a dog barking in the background. The connection was so poor that I couldn’t make out what she was saying, even when she asked questions.

I stopped to tell her I couldn’t hear her, but she kept insisting the issue wasn’t on her end. That meant I couldn’t really answer her questions because I couldn’t hear what she was asking in the first place. By the end of the call, she rejected me.

After that, applying again felt pointless—every time I submitted another application to ADP, I got rejected
