Addepar Software Engineer interview experience

No offer

RemotePosted Jan 2022 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I applied in late December, and the first real step came quickly—an engineer interview in early January.

It went really well; I was able to answer everything that came up and the feedback afterward was positive.

A few days later, though, the process ended abruptly. They told me it wasn’t a capability issue on my side—their headcount decisions meant they no longer planned to hire people at my level at that time.

So I didn’t end up with an offer, even after the interview went well. The part that stuck with me was how quickly it turned from encouraging to closed, which made the whole outcome feel out of my control.
