Seattle, WAPosted Aug 2026 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My interview was basically a single round, and then that was it—I didn’t get past that step.

It was low-key unpleasant in the moment, and the feedback implied the decision happened quickly.

The topics were very specific, and I remember realizing I probably should’ve prepared more deeply for VIM. They asked me a lot of questions related to that, and I didn’t handle the line of questioning well. The interviewer did present it as fair, but I could feel myself bombing as it went on.

I didn’t receive an offer. The biggest takeaway I carried afterward was how much the process depended on niche familiarity, and how that kind of mismatch can make an otherwise “fair” interview feel brutal.
