San Francisco, CAPosted Jul 2019 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

A consultant forwarded my resume for a contracting role, and I ended up doing a phone interview that felt positive.

After that conversation, though, I didn’t hear back about next steps or any kind of feedback. Over time, it started to feel like the process just stalled without explanation.

When I reflect on it, the most frustrating part wasn’t the interview itself—it was the silence afterward. I left the call feeling like it went well, then realized there was no clear follow-through. The experience ended without closure, and I felt like I wasted my time interviewing there.
