I started with a quick recruiter call, then had another call with the senior engineering manager.

The hiring manager focused heavily on my experience and also took time to explain how their teams worked day to day, which made the conversation feel practical rather than generic.

The technical portion of the process included two technical rounds, but what stands out most from the overall journey was the way the manager engaged—listening to my background and offering a clear sense of how things were run. Even though I didn’t end up getting an offer, the early interactions were solid, and the rejection felt more like timing or fit than something chaotic or poorly run.
