Welcome to your interview.

The question is on your right: Execute HCP Relationship Schema Design. Take a moment with it first.

Talk your thinking through with me if you like - when you're confident, submit your answer and I'll grade it like a real screen (7/10 or better passes). Discussion and graded submissions share your five interviewer interactions, so spend them well.

Problem

Scenario

You’ve been asked to lead the definition of a new data model for a life sciences product feature that tracks relationships between medical doctors, clinical trial sites, and pharmaceutical sponsors. The feature will support downstream workflows like account views, search, reporting, and relationship history, so the schema needs to be flexible enough for multiple use cases without becoming too abstract to ship. You also need to account for data quality issues such as duplicate HCP records, changing site affiliations, and many-to-many relationships that may vary over time. Before engineering starts building, you want a clear execution plan that aligns product, data, engineering, and compliance on what the schema must support in an initial release versus later iterations.

Question

How would you model the data schema for this feature, and how would you execute the work so the team can ship a usable first version while managing stakeholder input, data integrity risks, and future extensibility?
