I got contacted by a recruiter and moved straight into a 45-minute phone screen. The coding there felt pretty straightforward—very OOP-flavored—and I finished in about 15–20 minutes, then spent the rest of the time just chatting with the interviewer. The recruiter response felt fast and the process ramped up immediately.
Soon after, I went through an onsite that was basically a battery of coding rounds. One version of the loop featured multiple 45-minute coding interviews, and I felt like I did well across them—so well that an interviewer explicitly called out how strong my communication and problem-solving approach were. After the technical side, there was a team matching step, and the interviews felt draining mainly because the format kept pushing me into more coding rather than a broader conversation.

Average Negative Waterloo, ON
The early parts of the process felt oddly indifferent to me as a person and my background. I started with a 45-minute technical screening where the interviewer didn’t really ask about my prior experience at all. The vibe was that the process was there to test coding rather than understand what I’d done before.
After that, things continued in a similar tone. I went through a sequence that mixed “why this role” style conversations with additional rounds, including SQL and front-end themed questions, along with a culture fit component. I answered the open-ended questions I was asked, but the rejection still came without meaningful feedback. By the time it ended, it felt like I was being evaluated mainly on whether I could perform on the technical prompt(s), not on any narrative about my domain or stack experience.

What to expect
Distilled from the reports
Recruiter & Initial Screening
The interview process typically begins with a short recruiter call, often focused on logistics rather than technical skills, followed by a 45-minute technical screening that emphasizes coding abilities over prior experience.

Technical Coding Rounds
Candidates can expect multiple back-to-back coding interviews during the onsite, generally lasting 45 minutes each, with a focus on algorithmic problem-solving and coding under time constraints, often resembling LeetCode-style questions.

Difficulty & Pressure
The coding challenges are reported to be of high difficulty, often requiring extensive preparation, and candidates may feel significant pressure to perform well under tight time limits, which can lead to a stressful experience.
