After a recruiter step, I ended up with a hiring-manager video call that lasted about 45 minutes. The interview combined C++ questions with a case study scenario, and the case discussion was the part that stuck with me because it felt tied to real security challenges rather than generic prompts.
The tone was practical and focused on how I reasoned through tradeoffs. I didn’t feel like I was being thrown curveballs; instead, the scenario let me talk through what I would do and why, while the C++ portion checked whether my fundamentals were solid enough for the problems being discussed.

Easy Negative India
My process for a Lead Engineer role felt disappointing from the start. It was centered entirely on 10 Java output-based questions—the kind that are easy to find online or answer with general-purpose help. There was no real emphasis on architecture, system design, leadership, or deeper problem-solving.
What surprised me most was how closely it resembled a college-style quiz rather than an evaluation of the kind of experience the role implied. Even though the questions were solvable, the whole structure didn’t match how I understood senior responsibilities, so I walked away feeling like the process didn’t actually assess the things that would matter most for the job.
