My first round was a technical discussion that felt more like a qualification check than a full interview. The conversation centered on DevOps-style topics and Linux fundamentals, with the interviewer asking what I’d consider the more basic questions around that area. I felt like I answered most of what was asked, and I genuinely expected it would carry me into the next step.
Instead, I never got a call back. The whole thing left me confused, because the questions were aligned to what I thought would be the screening bar, so I expected to progress. Looking back, the hardest part wasn’t the difficulty—it was how quickly the process ended even though I felt I performed.

Average Positive Bengaluru
My process had a fairly classic multi-round structure, and the difficulty ramped as I progressed. Round one was a DSA-focused session where I worked through things like the group anagram problem, along with theory questions such as CAP and idempotency.
Round two was still problem solving, including an LRU Cache question, paired with scenario-style theory like circuit breaker behavior. By the time I got to the hiring manager round, the questions dug deeper into language-level thinking—equals and hashCode, with a strong push to reason through how hashCode should be derived and what that implies for the algorithm.
