After a recruiter screening, I was told the interview would follow a three-part flow with the team. A few days later I did a technical screen that leaned heavily on math and statistics, and then I moved into a programming screen.
The final stage involved several separate meetings that felt like a whirlwind. I started with a behavioral-style discussion with the hiring manager, then I met with a team member for a data analysis-focused screening. After that came a more genomic technical conversation with another team member, and it ended with one more math/stats screen with yet a different interviewer. Even though it was a lot to cover, the structure was clear and the questions felt tied to specific areas they cared about.

Difficult Negative San Carlos, CA
My experience started online and stayed that way. I talked with HR and the hiring manager, and then the process expanded into a lot of additional meetings with six other people. Some conversations felt fairly nice, but others were clearly distracted—like they were working while interviewing me.
The whole thing also felt unusually hard to navigate emotionally because the theme of confidentiality kept blocking me from having a natural conversation in return. I tried to ask questions back, but I kept running into “can’t share” boundaries, and it became difficult to find anything safe to discuss. On top of that, the schedule was draining: interviews happened once a week for eight weeks. I remember thinking that fewer, full interview days would have been less stressful than spreading the nerves out that long.
