After an initial recruiter touchpoint, I was asked to complete an online coding assessment on HackerRank. It was short but still felt like a real filter: two DSA questions plus a SQL query, with the SQL standing out as the trickier part. The time pressure mattered, and I could feel the process was aiming to quickly separate people who could think and implement cleanly.
Once I cleared that, I moved into three rounds total: two technical interviews followed by HR. The first technical round leaned heavily on core computer science topics alongside coding—OOPs, DBMS, and OS came up, and I also solved a DSA-style coding problem. The second technical round dug into my project work much more directly, asking how things worked behind the scenes and getting into explanations of the technologies I’d used. I remember the interviewer going through my resume and pushing for clarity rather than just surface-level summaries.

Difficult Negative Mumbai
The process started with an online assessment that immediately set a tough tone. I had a DSA-heavy coding portion plus SQL, but what really threw me off was how limited the time felt relative to the number of questions. Even when the MCQs were doable, the coding questions carried real difficulty, and I remember finishing with that “speed vs. correctness” tension.
After the assessment, I moved into technical interviews where they mixed problem-solving with deeper project discussion. The questions weren’t just about writing code; I had to explain my approach, reason about scenarios, and connect my project work back to core concepts. Some parts felt straightforward conceptually, but overall the difficulty stayed high because every explanation had to hold up under follow-ups.
