I went through a more face-to-face style journey that started with a call and then moved to an on-site interview. I arrived at the location and went through the reception process, checked in, and waited until it was time for my interview. The day itself felt normal in terms of flow, and the in-person part went well enough that I left believing I’d performed strongly.
The frustrating piece was timing. I was made to wait well over two weeks just to be told no, and the delay didn’t come with much clarity. When I asked for feedback or how to improve, I was essentially given no actionable details, just that there was an internal situation. The overall experience felt a lot like things were decided elsewhere rather than based on a clear technical or behavioral gap.

Average Neutral Poland
After a recruiter call, I moved into a structured sequence of rounds that felt fairly standard. About a week later, I had a technical interview where a line manager and a department director were both present, and the pace was more professional than casual. The technical portion focused on what I’d built and how I’d worked before, and it also touched basics like SQL, OOP, and APIs.
From there, the process continued with an HR checkpoint tied to the hiring decision. I was able to meet multiple people connected to the team—roles like software manager, software engineer, and an application architect came up during the in-person portion—so the conversation wasn’t just one-and-done. The overall feel was that I had space to learn about the team structure, and none of the technical questions felt overly brutal, just grounded in practical experience and fundamentals.
