I went through an on-campus InMobi process that felt fairly straightforward on the surface: a coding round first, then multiple technical interviews, and finally an HR round. By the time I got to the technical interviews, the panel was clearly focused on classic problem-solving rather than anything niche, and my first coding round was described as moderate.
In the technical rounds, I was asked algorithmic questions, and one of the topics that stood out was tries. The pace and the way the questions came up made it feel like they wanted deep thinking around data-structure style solutions, not just quick brute-force answers. Overall, the experience felt solid, but I didn’t end up converting to an offer.

I ended up going through a fairly intense sequence that started with a coding assessment and then moved into multiple hard DSA interviews, followed by a resume-based discussion and HR. The process felt long on the inside because each round kept pushing the difficulty higher.
My first step was an online coding round with three questions ranging from medium to hard. After that, I hit DSA interviews where I was asked increasingly tough algorithmic problems—things like Russian-doll style envelope nesting and a shortest-path-style challenge where the prompt involved visiting all nodes. At another point, the questions were framed more as deep DSA interviews than casual LeetCode-style practice, and the difficulty felt “hard” throughout.

The Loop & Timeline
The interview process typically consists of an online coding assessment followed by multiple technical interviews focused on data structures and algorithms, concluding with an HR round. Candidates noted a structured funnel where fewer progressed after technical evaluations, indicating a clear filtering process.

Technical / Coding Screen
Candidates faced an online coding assessment with challenging DSA questions that set the tone for the rest of the process, often described as moderate to hard in difficulty. Success in this round is critical, as it determines progression to the technical interviews.

DSA Focus in Technical Interviews
Technical interviews heavily emphasize data structures and algorithms, with questions escalating in difficulty and complexity, including topics like trees, graphs, and dynamic programming. Interviewers expect candidates to demonstrate deep problem-solving skills under pressure.

Project / Resume Discussion
At least one round typically involves discussing the candidate's resume and past projects, allowing interviewers to assess practical experience alongside technical skills. This round serves as a bridge between technical evaluation and HR discussions.

Behavioral & HR Round
The HR round focuses on cultural fit and communication style, often serving as a final confirmation of the candidate's suitability for the role rather than a technical evaluation. Candidates noted that the tone of this round can significantly impact overall impressions.
