I had a very lightweight, behavioral-leaning experience for a software engineer internship track. Before anything technical happened, the recruiter set things up and also checked what scheduling worked for me, and it felt relatively smooth overall. I appreciated that the recruiter kept in contact and helped map the timing.
When the actual interview happened, it didn’t turn into a technical conversation at all. It stayed behavioral, and the interviewer’s energy didn’t match the effort I was putting in—there were no real technical questions, and the interaction felt a bit detached. I also had to deal with a reschedule that pushed the session later than the original time.

I went through a fairly classic DocuSign-style run: a recruiter conversation first, then a sequence of technical rounds that mixed core coding with architecture thinking, and finally behavioral. After the recruiter call, the process moved into multiple interview sessions where I was asked to talk through my approach more than I expected, especially as I got deeper into the later stages.
The first technical round centered on DSA—things like medium LeetCode-style problems, where I had to be precise about the logic rather than just brute force. The next rounds shifted more toward system design, with one interview emphasizing higher-level design (including CAP-style considerations) and another focusing on design tradeoffs and scalability questions. In the behavioral and hiring-manager style parts, I spent a lot of time diving into my projects and experience, explaining what I did, why, and how I handled decisions and constraints.
