After I talked with HR, the process quickly soured for me. Early on, they told me the role I was interviewing for had shifted, and they didn’t really take the time to check whether I was still interested in the new direction. Most of the conversation centered on how long I’d used specific technologies, with very little follow-up for context.
When compensation came up, I felt like I was being pushed toward a lower salary than what I had discussed, including a pitch that the number should be reduced based on where I live for a remote role. I also ran into a more direct, deadline-driven tone from HR, and even after I asked for details on the compensation package, I didn’t get much clarity. After they scheduled another round and then called to say they no longer did the senior level they’d initially been considering, the whole thing felt unprofessional and humiliating. I declined the remaining interviews when it became obvious the process wouldn’t be consistent, and I ended up walking away with a pretty sour taste.

Average Positive Bengaluru
My process started with a technical screen that felt structured and well-paced. The questions moved from more basic ideas toward advanced thinking, and the interviewers were genuinely helpful while we worked through it. It had a clear sense of progression, and the overall vibe stayed constructive.
In the technical rounds, I ran into a mix of topics that spanned fundamentals and deeper areas. I was asked about dynamic programming and binary tree concepts, and we also discussed core object-oriented programming principles. Beyond that, the conversation touched computer networks and operating systems, and they anchored some questions to what showed up on my resume. In another technical discussion, it even focused heavily on machine learning fundamentals, and both of the technical rounds centered on data structures and algorithms questions.
