I started with an informal recruiter chat where we talked through what the role actually involved and how the team operated. After that, about a week later, I had a manager/lead interview that felt genuinely welcoming and low-pressure. They focused on the technical depth of the specific projects I had worked on, but they didn’t turn it into anything like coding or LeetCode. It was more about understanding my hands-on experience and how it mapped to what they needed.
What stood out most was the tone of the process—calm, clear, and transparent. I kept seeing feedback move along through the stages, and each step helped me understand the responsibilities of the position as well as the kinds of questions I might still need to clarify about the company. Even though I didn’t end up getting an offer, the whole thing left me with a positive feel because it was structured, communicative, and respectful.

Average Positive United States
My process centered on behavioral questions that leaned heavily on the STAR approach. I ended up in a final, three-person panel interview where everyone was focused on how I framed my experience—situation, task, actions, and results. Overall, it went pretty well, but I did stumble early when one of my answers didn’t follow the STAR structure.
Instead of shutting me down, they explained what they were looking for and gave me another opportunity to respond in the format they wanted. The whole interview felt fairly conversational, with the panel size small enough to keep momentum and not feel like I was being interrogated.
