My process was pretty short on paper: I was aware of two rounds. First was an HR interview to check whether I was able to handle a simple interview. After clearing that, I moved to a conversation with the hiring manager.
The odd part was how different the questions were from the role description. The job title made the responsibilities sound like something closer to project management, but the hiring manager asked an out-of-the-box question related to marketing and business instead. It wasn’t that marketing was impossible—it was that the direction didn’t feel consistent with what I had understood the role to be.

Average Positive Bogotá, Bogota
My process ended up being more drawn out and fragmented than I expected. I went through multiple interviews—enough that it felt like a full gauntlet—where each interviewer leaned into a slightly different angle of what I could do: programming, statistics, and business analysis. The questions weren’t just generic; they were tied to practical case-style prompts or to describing an experience that matched the skill they were assessing.
Logistically, it also had a frustrating rhythm. The early phase moved, but the HR follow-up after the first round took more than two weeks to come through, while the later rounds themselves seemed to move quickly once scheduled. Another part of the experience that stood out was the lack of clear communication overall—there was no tight, transparent cadence, and I ended up waiting longer than felt reasonable for responses.
